Palo Santo (Holy Stick) is an aromatic wood mainly used for smoke cleansing. Ritual smoke cleansing with Palo Santo is a large part of local traditions in Peru and Ecuador, to which the tree is native. The spiritual and medicinal use of Palo Santo in this region reportedly dates back to the Inca Era. The wood may be burned for smoke cleansing spaces, burning for meditation, or carried as a totem to attract luck.

Light one end and allow to burn for a few minutes. Blow out and it will smolder for several minutes. Always use fire proof container to set down on. Never leave unattended while burning.
